Dive into our history
In 1922, the Bilterijst family founded the company of the same name.
Seventy years later, the Louage family took over.
In 2018, another takeover followed, by Louis Louvrier, Eric Leemans and Peter Caset.
In 2022, Xavier Van Huele joined the team. Eric Leemans remains responsible for the day-to-day management of the company.
In 2023, Bilterijst received a new name and brand identity: Bilterijst became Woodrow.

At Woodrow, we strongly believe in wood and all its possibilities. Our specialty? Providing you with high-quality custom work.
Tropical hardwood is a valuable natural resource. That is why sustainability is at the top of our agenda. Woodrow imports timber with an FSC label. The FSC certification guarantees responsible sourcing from sustainably managed forests and/or recycling. Every piece of timber can be traced back to its origin, and the impact on the environment is limited.
Woodrow also places a strong focus on a circular process. Timber that is no longer suitable for certain structures is reused in new projects. We also reuse wood offcuts for other small applications.
